Pipe Bomb is the brainchild of Philadelphia, PA native Mitchell Layton. "Stomp" is the debut EP and features six tracks that assault listeners with a sonic sense of urgency and desperation. The one man project somehow fits perfectly in between two eras of metalcore. On one hand, it brings to mind current heavy hitters like Incendiary, Mindforce, and Knocked Loose. On another, the influential roots of the 2000's show through glimmers of Norma Jean, The Chariot, Botch, and Coalesce.
